7 Women Confess Their Worst Thoughts They Have During PMS

7 Women Confess Their Worst Thoughts They Have During PMS

From aliens and strippers to mood swings and death wishes, women who suffer from Premenstrual Syndrome have confessions to make about the thoughts they have during that dark week or two that PMS takes over their lives.
According to The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists about 85% of us suffer from at least one PMS symptom. I asked several ladies to share their confession stories with us. See if you can relate to any of them.

1. The alien inside me, Kelli’s story

Kelli tells a story that reminds me a lot of the movie with Sigourney Weaver in Alien 3. If you have seen this movie and you have experienced horrifying PMS symptoms, I am sure you know what her story looks like. Here is what she said,
“I remember one time when I was with my family for a holiday get-together and my irritability made me spew out hateful, snippy answers to anything anyone said. I felt like I had a massive ball of anxiousness that caused physical pain in my stomach almost as if I had an alien inside me trying to break out of my body. The pain made me turn into someone I did not like, and others weren’t pleased to be around me either.”

2. Husband admits wife to mental hospital, Brittney’s story

Maybe you can relate to Brittney’s story as she tells about her fears.
“My worst thought was that my husband was going to admit me into a mental hospital due to my terrible mood swings that I had when I was going through PMS. Laughing one minute, crying the next, and anger over the littlest things! I would be furious if my husband had not put the toilet paper on the roll correctly.
I would scream, ‘What are you thinking?’ and then he was trying to reply with a dumbfounded and confused look. I would laugh myself to tears while he just stood there with a shrug trying to figure it all out. I was also always worried he was having an affair because of my behavior during PMS.”

3. Science major wants to quit school to become a stripper, Nicole’s story

Now, Nicole’s story is one that intrigues me. Going to school to establish herself as a reputable dentist one day, she explains who PMS makes her become.
“PMS is my ‘other personality.’ It is the one that makes me feel like quitting school and becoming a stripper at the local gentlemen’s bar.
I pride myself on being a 4.0 student, but when PMS hits, I just feel like giving it all up and throwing the stress out the door behind me as I enter the bar with no GPA needed to get the job done. Just strip it all away as I grab the brass pole and dance my heart out. I am sure not many women have the same type of feelings, but that is the other woman I could become during that time.”

4. The death wish, Ashley’s story

Ashley’s story is one that is familiar to many. She confesses about the anguish she feels and her thoughts she often has during her PMS days.
“I just want to die. My cramps are so unbearable that nothing, and I mean nothing, helps get rid of them. Not Midol, not Tylenol, nor heating pads, hot baths, or back rubs. Sometimes they are so unbearable, I can’t stand up straight for very long. That is when I just throw myself on my bed, curl up in an embryonic state, and wish to die just to ease the pain.
People tell me to take an aspirin and get up, but they just don’t get it. I would give anything to be able to just pop an aspirin and get up as if all was normal.”

5. The Polly Molly Smith syndrome, Karrie’s story

Karrie has what she calls, the “Polly Molly Smith Syndrome” (PMS) during that time. Here is how she describes how Polly Molly Smith affects her life.
“Polly is the evil little voice in my head that tells me just how horrible I am when I am going through PMS. I get very depressed to the point where I think my life is not worth living. I feel that my family would be better off without me. I have no self worth and think no one likes me. My emotions are way over the top. I blame it all on Polly Molly Smith.”

6. Punching bag people, Piper’s story

Maybe many of you can understand where Piper is coming from when she says all negativity is magnified.
“I do not know who I am when PMS strikes. All I know is that all the negative thoughts in my head are magnified to the point of wanting to punch something or someone. Someone says something that I take personal, when I normally wouldn’t, and all I can see is the vision of boxing gloves on my hands and a right punch to their jaw. I hate that!
I do not like feeling that way. I am normally a very nice person, so trying to hide these thoughts during this time is extremely difficult. Thankfully, I have never acted upon those thoughts. I actually got smart and purchased a punching bag for times like these. I feel much better after I work out my feelings.”

7. The eating machine, Mandi’s story

Mandi can’t stop thinking about eating a pan of brownies when PMS hits her hard.
“I already feel fat and bloated, so why not eat a whole pan?! It does not just stop with brownies, though. I could eat a whole carton of ice cream and a bag of cookies. My cravings are crazy! I am normally a pretty healthy eater and tend to avoid as much sugar as possible, but when it is that time of the month, I am a goner and so are the goodies.”
PMS affects us all in different ways, but many of us can totally relate to these stories. Maybe we relate to more than one of them, or maybe, we have our own confessions we have never shared before. Go ahead and share yours with us in the comments below. We understand just how you feel.
